Going to Las Vegas for a ''wild'' bachelor party is now the ultimate middle-class hedonist cliché. It's not just that the jaunt has been done so often, in the movies as well as in life. It's that there's a contradiction embedded in the lure of the Vegas bacchanal. Men — and women too, of course — go there to be as reckless as humanly possible. But the naughtiness is soorganized that there's not much recklessness left in it. Sure, you can craps-table your way to financial ruin, but the lap dances, the glorified college drinking binges, the ritualized ordering of hookers: It's all about as spontaneous as a shuffleboard tournament on a cruise ship.

The fun of The Hangover — what makes it more than just one what-happens-in-Vegas romp too many — is that the film completely understands all this. The four comrades who drive from Los Angeles to the Nevada desert to prepare for the wedding of Doug (Justin Bartha) aren't daring or cool; they aren't born swingers. They're an unglamorous Everyguy quartet, doing what they all think they’re supposed to do. They're probably imitating Vegas movies as much as those films imitated reality.

Phil (Bradley Cooper), the one who's good-looking enough to strut into a casino like he owns it, is a junior-high teacher devoted to his wife and kid; Stu (Ed Helms), the group dweeb, is an anxious-eyed dentist who's like the 21st-century version of American Graffiti's Terry the Toad, with a fascist girlfriend (Rachael Harris) who treats him like a slave; and Alan (Zach Galifianakis), so brick-stupid he qualifies as more nutzoid than dorkish, is a pudgy, bearded runt who stands up in the group's cruising convertible and shouts ''Road trip!'' That's an inside nod to the fact that Todd Phillips, the movie's director, made Road Trip as well, though it also indicates that these four think they're living inside a stupid teen comedy.

They arrive at their hotel, and the film then cuts to the next day, when they wake up in their trashed villa. There's a tiger in the bathroom, and a baby in the cabinet. Stu is missing his top right incisor; the groom is nowhere to be seen. And the thing is, none of them remembers...anything. The Hangover is structured, basically, as one long morning-after OMG what have I done?, and the kick of the film is that the discovery of what the characters have, in fact, done becomes the perfect comeuppance to their tidy fantasy of Vegas bliss. A light-buttered comic nightmare, like Martin Scorsese's After Hours (or Peter Berg's scandalous, overlooked Very Bad Things with things not nearly so bad), The Hangover is a riff on what the stuff you do when you're really out of control says about you.

The surprises in this movie are everything, so without giving much away, I'll just say that a Vegas chapel figures into the mix. So does a crowbar-wielding Asian gangster (Ken Jeong) who might be the epicene brother of Long Duk Dong in Sixteen Candles. There's also a juicy run-in with Mike Tyson. The Hangoverhas scattered laughs (many in the cathartically funny end-credit montage), but overall it's more amusing than hilarious. The most deftly acted character is Stu, played by Helms with a realistic alternating current of horror and liberation. As Alan, Zach Galifiannakis makes blinkered idiocy a cartoon rush, though a little of him goes a long way. I wish Phillips, working from a script by the knockabout team of Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past), had nudged the characters closer to being a true shaggy-dog Apatow-style ensemble. You're always a little too aware that they're types. But it's fun seeing each of them have the ''fun'' they deserve.

Watching Disney-Pixar’s movies has always been a very satisfying experience. Because, Disney-Pixar’s animated movies can give me satisfaction in all aspects. Like UP, i think this is one of the best movie for this year, for all ages. No doubt. Below is a review written by Rebecca Murray from About.Com

The Story

The story is about Carl Fredericksen as the leading role. He as a young boy who dreams of being an adventurer as he watches newsreel footage of explorer Charles Muntz. Carl's quiet and sort of shy, but his love of Muntz leads him to Ellie, a sassy little girl who is as outgoing as Carl is introverted. They make for a great team and in fact will go on to share their lives together. From elementary school through high school and on up into adulthood, Carl and Ellie are inseparable, sharing every moment of joy and sadness together while dreaming of a time when they can actually take off on an adventure in the wilds of South America just like their hero, Muntz. But jobs and health issues and whatnot have a way of intruding on dreams, and Carl and Ellie grow old never having visited the South American jungles. And then, sadly, Carl becomes a widower with just his lovely little house and his beautiful memories of Ellie to keep him company.

Unfortunately, Carl's home is right in the path of new construction. Unable to stand up legally to those who want to level his house, Carl finds the perfect way to keep his home intact. He'll kill two birds with one stone. He wants to visit South America before it's too late and he needs to remove his house from its current location. The solution: ties thousands of helium-filled balloons to his roof and float away. He's even rigged up a way to steer.

But Carl fails to take into consideration the persistent presence of an overly helpful Wilderness Explorer scout named Russell. Russell didn't know of Carl's planned getaway and was on the porch when Carl's house lifted off. With no way to put the house down and South America set as his goal, Carl and Russell become unlikely traveling companions. Touching down just short of his target landing spot - Paradise Falls - Carl and Russell must walk the house (with balloons still attached) a mile or two to the perfect spot.

On the way to the house's final resting spot they meet up with a huge exotic bird Russell names Kevin (why? who knows) and a super friendly dog named Dug (not Doug). Dug's wearing a fancy collar that allows his thoughts to be translated into English, a plot device that's so incredibly funny that Dug deserves a film all to himself. Dug's mind works about how you'd expect a canine's thought process to, with lots of happy thoughts interrupted often by shouts of Squirrel!

So, now they're in South America and all is as it's supposed to be, right? Nope. There's danger lurking around every corner for poor Kevin, and it's up to Carl, Russell, and Dug to keep the rare bird safe.

Up plays on your heartstrings and there are one or two scenes which may have you grabbing for a tissue. I'm not joking about that. It got to me and I don't get emotional about a film unless an animal dies (no, that's not what happens in Up). And speaking of animals, dog lovers are going to go crazy over Dug. He's an adorable little guy who's brave and loyal and is sure to remind you of your own furry best friend.

Up is storytelling at its best. The adventure film takes audiences through the full spectrum of emotions, with action and thrills mixed with comedy and suspense. A sure lock on an animated film Oscar nod, Up delivers a wondrous world filled with people and creatures you'll fall head over heels in love with. Up earns a spot as one of the best films of the year, and not just in the animated category.

NEW YORK – Us Weekly magazine has obtained video it says shows never-before-seen footage of Michael Jackson's head catching on fire during filming of his 1984 Pepsi commercial.

Jackson suffered severe burns after a pyrotechnics mishap caused his hair and scalp to catch afire. Still photos of the accident have been seen before, but the new video on Us Weekly's Web site shows the moment Jackson's hair caught on fire and the top of his head became engulfed in flames.

Jackson didn't realize his hair was on fire. In the video, he's still dancing as the flames are on his head. When he spins, the flames go out. People on the set tackle him to extinguish the fire, and his brotherJermaine Jackson, playing the guitar in front of him and oblivious to the commotion, turns around. When Michael Jackson emerges from the pile of people trying to help him, the top of his head is bald.

The accident, witnessed by thousands of stunned fans at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, came at the height of Jackson's fame, about a year after the release of his best-selling "Thriller" album. It marked what would be the beginning of serious, lifelong pain for Jackson, who had been treated for painkiller addiction and has been described by relatives and friends as being hooked on pain medication at the time of his death last month at age 50.

Jackson, who was photographed in an ambulance with a bandage on his head and his trademark sequined white glove on his right hand, required several surgeries and needed skin grafts to treat the injury.

In his autobiography, "Moonwalk," he described the cause of the accident as "stupidity, pure and simple."

As he described the accident, he wrote: "... bombs went off on either side of my head, and the sparks set my hair on fire. I was dancing down this ramp and turning around, spinning, not knowing I was on fire. Suddenly I felt my hands reflexively go to my head in an attempt to smother the flames."

As a result of the accident, Pepsi gave Jackson $1.5 million, which he donated to a burn center named after him.

A representative for Us Weekly had no immediate comment on where the video came from.

Rupert Grint was born in Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire, the eldest of five siblings. His father, Nigel Grint, is a memorabilia dealer and ex-racecar driver, and his mother, Jo (Parsons), is a homemaker.

Emma Watson’s Transformation

Emma Watson doesn't balk at having spent ten years made up as the freckled and frumpy Hermione Granger. "I really use the discomfort, the itchiness, the backcombed hair to get into character," she has said. Biography:
American superstar Michael Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29, 1958 and entertained audiences nearly his entire life. His father, Joseph Jackson, had been a guitarist but was forced to give up his musical ambitions following his marriage to Katherine (Scruse). Together they prodded their growing family's musical interests at home. By the early 60s the older boys Jackie, Tito and Jermaine had begun performing around the city; by 1964 Michael and Marlon had joined in.
A musical prodigy, Michael's singing and dancing talents were amazingly mature and he soon became the dominant voice and focus of "The Jackson 5." An opening act for such soul groups as the O-Jays and James Brown, it was Gladys Knight (not Diana Ross) who officially brought the group to 'Berry Gordy''s attention, and by 1969 the boys were producing back-to-back chart-busting hits as Motown artists ("I Want You Back," "ABC," "Never Can Say Goodbye," "Got to Be There," etc.). As a product of the 70s, the boys emerged as one of the most accomplished black pop/soul vocal groups in music history, successfully evolving from a Temptations-like group act to a disco phenomenon.
Solo success for Michael was inevitable, and by the 80s he had become infinitely more popular than his brotherly group. Two brief marriages -- one to Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa Marie Presley -- were forged and two children produced by his second wife during that time, but the purposes behind it appeared image oriented. Despite it all, Michael Jackson's passion and artistry as a singer, dancer, writer and businessman are unparalleled, and it is these prodigious talents that will ultimately prevail over the extremely negative aspects of his seriously troubled adult life.
For it all to end on June 25, 2009, with his sudden death at age 50 of a cardiac arrest just as he was just coming out of a four-year reclusive period and rehearsing for a sold-out London concert "comeback" in July seems uncommonly cruel and tragic. Jacko's Dermatologist: 'I Am Not the Father'

He is alleged to be the real father of Michael Jackson's children. Another claim says he is being investigated for prescribing the singer dangerous narcotic pain medications and anesthesia. Now, Jackson's longtime dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein speaks out to address the rumors.
Klein, a Professor of Dermatology and Medicine at UCLA medical school, and a favorite of stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, flatly denies any involvement in over-prescribing drugs to Jackson.
"I didn't give him this crap they are talking about," Klein states in a new interview with Good Morning America. "I've never prescribed Oxycontin in my life. How am I going to prescribe Diprivan [a.k.a. Propofol, which is used for anesthesia] when I don't understand how to use it?"
He also denied being one of five doctors reportedly under investigation in the state of California for writing prescriptions for Jackson's medications. "I am not even under any examination by the police as one of those individuals," he said. "I have not been examined by anyone. I have not been contacted by the police in Los Angeles."
Klein also says that Jackson did not appear to be in severe pain – or to be battling addiction – during their last meeting, which was the Monday before Jackson's death. "He danced in my office. He danced for my patients. He was very muscular and he was very very happy and dancing," Klein says. "I saw nothing at that point I time that would make me worry whatsoever."
When asked if a rumor that he was the real father of Jackson's three children, Prince Michael, 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7, was true, Klein offered a denial – sort of.
"All I can tell you is, to the best of my knowledge, I am not the father of these children," Klein said. "I can't answer it any other way. I don't want to feed any of this insanity going around." He did express a fondness for his friend's children adding, "These are brilliant children and I want them in no way to be harmed ... People should know the depth of [Jackson's] love of his children."

The Last Airbender

Film yang diangkat dari serial kartun anak-anak buatan Nickelodeon ini menceritakan tentang perjuangan Aang, Katara dan Sokka melawan Prince Zuko.

Konon, dunia dibagi ke dalam 4 kawasan, yaitu api, air, udara, dan tanah. Ketika salah satu dari penguasa mempunyai ambisi terlalu besar, maka terjadi kekacauan. Prince Zuko yang menguasai elemen api menyerang kawasan lain guna menjadi penguasa tunggal. Satu-satunya yang bisa melawan ambisi tersebut adalah si bocah Aang yang mampu memanipulasi semua elemen tersebut. Dibantu oleh Katara dan saudaranya Sokka, mereka berusaha mengembalikan dunia di tengah keseimbangan 4 elemen.

Menurut jadwal sementara The Last Airbender akan tayang 2 Juli 2010.

Film mengenai si bocah Aang, di film kartun lebih dikenal dengan judul Avatar. Namun di film ini nama Avatar tidak digunakan karena judul Avatar telah dipakai lebih dahulu oleh sutradara James Cameron untuk film yang akan dirilis 18 Desember 2009.

The star turned up at Selfridge’s in London to unveil the fall/winter Emporio Armani underwear campaign to a screaming crowd that even braved the London train strike to see Becks. Armani says of Beckham, “David has a great sense of style and is an inspiring role model – this is what makes him the perfect partner for Emporio Armani underwear. I am very excited that David Beckham’s new campaign image was unveiled exclusively in his home country and where better than at such an iconic retail destination as  Selfridges.” Beckham admits to a case of nerves over the campaign, but only at the unveilings! “I don’t mind having the photograph taken but it’s a little bit embarrassing when it’s unveiled.” Although it’s not all stressful, with Beckham saying of seeing his billboards, “I don’t know about it giving me a buzz but I’m very proud of it.” We think that David’s ads just keep getting hotter and hotter! Harry sendiri lolos ketika Voldemort mengejarnya setelah tongkat sihirnya bereaksi dengan sendirinya dengan tongkat sihir pinjaman Voldemort, menghancurkannya, dan ia juga kemudian mendapatkan penglihatan ketika Voldemort menanyai Ollivander si pembuat tongkat sihir, mengenai mengapa hal itu dapat terjadi.

Beberapa hari kemudian, Menteri Sihir tiba di kediaman Weasley dan memberikan warisan Dumbledore untuk mereka: Deluminator untuk Ron (alat seperti korek api yang dapat memadamkan cahaya); buku mengenai kisah anak-anak untuk Hermione; dan untuk Harry, pedang Godric Gryffindor dan snitch pertama yang ditangkap Harry. Namun demikian, pedang tersebut ditahan, karena menurut kementerian pedang tersebut bukanlah milik Dumbledore. Ketiganya berusaha mencari tahu apa dibalik ketiga benda yang diberikan kepada mereka itu. Sehari kemudian adalah hari pernikahan Fleur Delacour dan Bill Weasley.

Setelah diberitakan bahwa Voldemort telah berhasil mengambil alih Kementerian Sihir; Harry, Ron, dan Hermione kemudian bersembunyi di Grimmauld Place nomor 12, rumah yang diwariskan Sirius Blackkepada Harry. Ketiganya kemudian menyadari bahwa inisial R.A.B. pada liontin yang didapatkan Dumbledore dan Harry dalam buku keenam adalah Regulus Arcturus Black, adik Sirius. Mereka mulai mencari Horcrux yang dicuri Regulus di rumah keluarga Black itu. Dari Kreacher, mereka mengetahui bahwa ia telah membantu Regulus untuk mendampingi Voldemort menempatkan Horcrux berbentuk liontin itu di gua. Ketika Regulus merasa kecewa dengan Voldemort, ia memerintahkan Kreacher untuk kembali ke gua dan menukar liontin dengan yang palsu. Regulus terbunuh dalam proses itu. Pada akhirnya, mereka bertiga menyadari bahwa Mundungus Fletcher telah mencuri liontin tersebut dan kemudian dirampas oleh Dolores Umbridge.

Setelah selama satu bulan memata-matai Kementerian Sihir, ketiganya berhasil mengambil Horcrux dari Umbridge. Dalam prosesnya, tempat persembunyian mereka diketahui dan terpaksa melarikan diri ke daerah terpencil, berpindah dari satu tempat ke tempat lain, dan tidak dapat lama tinggal di suatu tempat.

Dalam waktu beberapa bulan berpindah-pindah, mereka mendengar bahwa pedang Godric Gryffindor sebenarnya adalah palsu, dan ada yang melakukan sesuatu terhadap pedang aslinya. Dari Phineas Black, Harry mendapatkan bahwa pedang itu terakhir kali digunakan Dumbledore untuk menghancurkan salah satu Horcrux, Cincin Gaunt. Ron kemudian berselisih paham dengan Harry, dan pergi meninggalkan Harry dan Hermione. Harry dan Hermione kemudian pergi ke Godric's Hollow untuk mencari tahu apakah Dumbledore telah meninggalkan pedang itu di sana.

Di Godric's Hollow, keduanya mengunjungi tempat pemakaman keluarga di mana keluarga Potter dan Dumbledore dikuburkan. Di Godric's Holow, mereka juga menemui Bathilda Bagshot,

seorang teman lama Dumbledore yang mengarang buku Sejarah Sihir. Di rumah Bagshot mereka menemukan gambar penyihir hitam Grindelwald, sanak Bagshot, yang pada masa lalu adalah kawan masa kecil Albus Dumbledore. Namun demikian, ternyata mereka terperangkap, karena "Bagshot" itu merupakan penjelmaan ular Voldemort, Nagini. Mereka berhasil melarikan diri dari Voldemort, tetapi tongkat sihir Harry hancur dalam kejadian itu.

Dalam pelarian mereka, Harry akhirnya menemukan bahwa pedang Godric Gryffindor tersembunyi di sebuah kolam beku di tengah sebuah hutan berkat bantuan patronus berbentuk kijang. Dia menyelam ke dalamnya untuk mendapati pedang tersebut. Kalung Horcrux mencoba mencekik Harry dan hampir menenggelamkannya hingga mati kalau tidak ditolong oleh Ron yang kembali. Keduanya menghancurkan Horcrux dengan pedang itu.

Ketiganya kemudian berbicara kepada Xenophilius Lovegood, ayah Luna Lovegood, dan menanyakan kepada mereka mengenai lambang Grindelwald yang telah berkali-kali muncul selama perjalanan mereka. Di rumah Lovegood, Harry, Ron, dan Hermione mendapatkan kisah penyihir kuno mengenai tiga bersaudara yang mengalahkan kematian, dan masing-masing mendapatkan benda sihir sebagai hasilnya - tongkat sihir yang tak terkalahkan (Elder Wand—tongkat sihir tetua), batu sihir yang dapat menghidupkan kembali yang telah mati (Resurrection Stone—batu kebangkitan), dan Jubah Gaib (jubah tembus pandang) yang tidak lekang oleh waktu. Harry menyadari bahwa jubah yang dimilikinya adalah adalah Jubah Gaib, dan segera menemukan bahwa Lovegood telah berkhianat dan menyerahkan mereka ke Kementerian. Luna, putrinya, telah ditawan dan Xenophilius berpikir untuk menyerahkan Harry Potter sebagai ganti tawanan. Ketiganya meloloskan diri dan berpikir untuk mengumpulkan ketiga benda sihir Deathly Hallows, untuk mengalahkan Voldemort.

Harry, Ron, dan Hermione kemudian tertangkap oleh kelompok Snatcher yang diketuai oleh Fenrir Greyback, karena menyebut nama Voldemort (nama itu sudah dimantrai untuk mendeteksi para penyebutnya) dan dibawa ke rumah Malfoy. Di sana, Hermione disiksa dan diinterogasi oleh Bellatrix Lestrange untuk mengetahui bagaimana mereka memperoleh pedang Godric Gryffindor, karena ia berpikir bahwa mereka telah mencurinya dari lemari besinya di Gringotts. Di bawah tanah, Harry dan Ron dipenjarakan bersama-sama dengan Dean Thomas, goblin Griphook, pembuat tongkat sihir Ollivander, dan Luna Lovegood. Harry berusaha mencari pertolongan dan Dobby muncul untuk menyelamatkannya. Dalam usaha meloloskan diri, mereka dihadang Wormtail yang kemudian terbunuh karena tercekik oleh tangan perak Wormtail yang dibuat Voldemort tanpa berhasil ditolong oleh Ron dan Harry, sebagai balasan dari hutang budi dari tahun ketiga Harry di Hogwarts. Mereka berdua kemudian menolong Hermione dengan bantuan Dobby, yang tewas dibunuh oleh Bellatrix.

Harry dan kedua sahabatnya kemudian berusaha mencari rencana baru. Ia menanyai Ollivander mengenai Elder Wand dan mendapati bahwa pemilik terakhirnya adalah Dumbledore. Dibantu Griphook, Hermione menyamar sebagai Bellatrix Lestrange dan bersama-sama Harry dan Ron memasuki lemari besi Bellatrix di Bank Gingrott's. Di sana mereka menemukan satu lagi Horcrux, piala Hufflepuff. Griphook kemudian mengkhianati mereka dan melarikan diri dan membawa pedang Godric Gryffindor. Ketiganya segera pergi ke Hogsmeade untuk mencari jalan masuk ke sekolah Hogwarts. Di Hogsmeade, mereka disudutkan oleh para Pelahap Maut dan diselamatkan oleh Aberforth Dumbledore. Aberforth membuka jalan terowongan ke Hogwarts di mana mereka disambut oleh Neville Longbottom.

Pada saat menyelamatkan jiwa Draco Malfoy, Harry menemukan Mahkota Ravenclaw yang merupakan Horcrux itu tersembunyi di Kamar Kebutuhan dan benda itu dihancurkan.

Di Shrieking Shack, mereka mendapati Voldemort membunuh Severus Snape dengan tujuan untuk menguasai kekuatan Elder Wand kepada dirinya sendiri. Dalam keadaan sekarat, Snape memberikan memorinya kepada Harry. Dari memori itu terungkap bahwa Snape selama ini berada di pihak Dumbledore, didorong dengan cinta seumur hidupnya kepada Lily Potter. Snape telah diminta Dumbledore untuk membunuh dirinya jika situasinya mengharuskan demikian; karena bagaimanapun juga hidupnya tidak akan lama lagi akibat kutukan yang terdapat di Horcrux Cincin Gaunt. Selanjutnya, terungkap pula bahwa Harry adalah Horcrux terakhir Voldemort, dan ia harus mati juga sebelum Voldemort dapat dibunuh. Pasrah akan nasibnya, Harry mengorbankan diri dan Voldemort melancarkan kutukan untuk membunuhnya. Kemudian Harry tersadar di tempat yang mirip dengan stasiun King Cross, dan Dumbledore mendatanginya. Dumbledore mengatakan bahwa Harry sebenarnya adalah pemilik dari Deathly Hallows, dan kutukan Avada Kedavra itu malah menghancurkan bagian dari jiwa Voldemort yang terdapat di tubuhnya. Pada saat ini Dumbledore memberikan pilihan pada Harry, apakah dia ingin meneruskan pada kematian, atau kembali hidup ke dunia. Harry memilih kembali ke dunia, dan tersadar. Pada akhirnya, setelah Nagini dibunuh oleh Neville, Voldemort kemudian terbunuh setelah mencoba menggunakan Kutukan pembunuh Avada Kedavra terhadap Harry. Kutukan itu berbalik menyerang Voldemort sendiri setelah Elder Wand menolak membunuh tuannya (Harry) sendiri.

Dalam kisah di akhir buku, pada tahun 2017, 19 tahun setelah Pertempuran di Hogwarts, Harry dan Ginny Weasley telah memiliki tiga anak bernama James, Albus Severus, dan Lily. Neville Longbottom telah menjadi guru Herbologi di Hogwarts. Ron dan Hermione telah memiliki dua anak bernama Rose dan Hugo. Draco Malfoy memiliki anak bernama Scorpius. Mereka seluruhnya bertemu di stasiun kereta api King's Cross, untuk mengantar anak-anak mereka bersekolah ke Hogwarts. Di sana diungkapkan bahwa bekas luka Harry tidak pernah sakit lagi setelah kekalahan Pangeran Kegelapan.

Angels and Demons

Seakan sudah menjadi tren di Hollywood saat ini, film yang merupakan adaptasi dari novel kembali muncul. Kali ini novel karangan Dan Brown Kembali diadaptasikan ke layar lebar. Novel dengan judul Angels and Demons ini sebenarnya adalah novel pertama Dan Brown sebelum Davinci Code, tapi mengambil setting cerita setelah Davinci Code. Oleh karena itu film kali ini bisa dianggap sebagai sekuel dari Davinci Code.

Film ini masih bercerita seputar karakter Robert Langdon yang merupakan seorang ahli simbologi dari Harvard. Robert harus kembali berhadapan dengan kelompok kuno yang rela berbuat apa saja demi mencapai tujuan mereka, termasuk membunuh siapapun. Ketika Robert menemukan bukti atas keberadaan kelompok bernama Illuminati yang merupakan salah satu kelompok underground yang paling kuat dalam sejarah, ia juga mendapat ancaman kematian dari musuh besar Illuminati, yaitu Vatikan. Setelah menyadari ancaman Illuminati yang bisa meledak kapan saja, Robert langsung menuju Roma untuk meminta bantuan dari seorang ilmuwan Italia bernama Vittoria Vetra. Bersama-sama mereka harus melalui petualangan penuh aksi dari kuburan sampai ke tempat eksotis lainnya untuk mengikuti kelak simbol tua berumur 400 tahun yang tersebar demi keselamatan Vatikan.

Sebelumnya, film ini dikatakan lebih baik dari Davinci Code dalam segala aspek. Setelah dilihat memang betul, tapi tidak seluruhnya. Kalau dilihat dari alur cerita, memang cerita mengalir dengan cepat, tapi tidak pernah sampai terlalu cepat. Film ini juga memiliki lebih banyak adegan aksi. Namun, polesan pada film ini lebih halus dan tidak sekasar Davinci Code. Itu berkat jalan ceritanya yang tidak sekontroversial Davinci Code. Walaupun ceritanya juga berpotensi menimbulkan kontroversi di kalangan agama, Ron Howard mencari jalan aman dengan memperhalus bagian-bagian tersebut dan menggabungkan beberapa bagian ke satu karakter saja. Hasilnya, film ini mungkin akan terlihat berbeda dari novelnya. Hal tersebut bisa menjadi nilai plus atau minus bagi para penggemar novelnya.

Akting pada film ini juga cukup baik, walaupun tidak ada yang terlalu istimewa. Musiknya juga memiliki ciri khas Hans Zimmer yang mengalun dengan baik. Dan setting ceritanya juga bisa menampilkan tempat-tempat eksotis dengan baik.

Kesimpulan: Film ini cukup layak untuk ditonton baik bagi anda yang penggemar novelnya atau anda yang hanya ingin menonton film yang menghibur.

Manusia kebanyakan berkekuatan super selalu laku dijual. Mau dikenakan konstum mentereng (bak Superman atau Batman) atau berkostum biasa saja dan berantakan (seperti Hancock), mereka tetaplah sukses mendulang keuntungan.
Demam Heroes memang sudah mereda, tetapi konsepnya (yang sebenarnya tidak orisinil itu - karena sebelumnya ada X-Men) tetap menjadi sumber hiburan yang asyik saja dijual sebagai tontonan. Film ini, misalnya. Berkisah tentang Nick Gant yang mampu mengangkat semua benda dengan kekuatan pikiran atau Cassie Holmes yang bisa melihat masa depan via gambar yang dilukisnya, keduanya ternyata dikejar-kejar Divisions, organisasi 'pemerintah' yang menciduk semua manusia berkemampuan super. Divisions lalu menyerap kekuatan mereka atau malah memanfaatkannya sebagai kelinci percobaan ataupun menjadikan mereka sebagai alat penciduk manusia super lainnya.
Perbedaan tajam antara Heroes dan Push terletak pada penempatan kelas tiap manusia super. Dalam Push, ada Watchers (mereka yang bisa melihat masa depan via bayangan sekelebat atau lewat gambar-gambar tertentu), lalu Pushers (mampu memanipulasi pikiran), Bleeders (berkekuatan super karena teriakan mematikan - mampu membuat telinga yang mendengarnya berdarah), Stitches (mereka yang mampu menyembuhkan luka), Sniffs (mereka yang bisa mengartikan kejadian-kejadian yang sebelumnya terjadi dengan menghirup benda-benda), Shifters (berkemampuan mengubah benda menjadi benda lain, mirip ilusionis), Shadows (berkemampuan mem-blok kekuatan yang lainnya, biasanya kekuatan Sniffers).
